Places to Visit
Grand Egyptian Museum
One of the world's largest museums, which opened in November 2025. Items such as the golden mask discovered in Tutankhamun's tomb in Luxor's Valley of the Kings are on display.
Mosque of Muhammad Ali
Locally it is called the domed mosque. From the mosque set on high ground, you can also see the view of Cairo's old town.
Valley of the Kings
A cluster of tombs where successive pharaohs, including Tutankhamun and the Ramesses family, were buried. Well-preserved tombs feature beautiful wall paintings.
Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
The mortuary temple where Hatshepsut, history's only female pharaoh, is said to have performed sacred rites. The stone statues in front of the temple and the colorful wall paintings are must-sees.
Karnak & Luxor Temples
Successive pharaohs repeated extensions and renovations over many years to build one of Egypt's largest temples. The 134 giant stone columns of the great hypostyle hall are spectacular.
Schedule
Day 1:
Departure from Istanbul ⇒ to Cairo, Egypt.
An English-speaking assistant will be waiting at the airport. After check-in (from 15:00), free time in Cairo.
