At the new Acropolis Museum near the Acropolis hill, you can view excavated works that could be called art, modeled on myths and people.
At the foot of the Acropolis hill there are many restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops, so the Plaka district is recommended for dining and shopping. There are also restaurants where you can enjoy a meal while gazing at the illuminated Acropolis hill.
Delphi flourished as a city dedicated to the gods from around the 12th century BC, and at its height around the 6th century BC it was visited by many pilgrims. The "oracle of Apollo (the god's message)" was delivered here, and important matters of state were decided here too. This sanctuary, built on a mountain slope, retains a mysterious atmosphere while telling of the advanced building techniques of the time.
