Valletta, the capital of Malta. A fortified city built by the Knights of St. John, registered as a World Heritage Site. The interior decoration of St. John's Co-Cathedral and Caravaggio's masterpiece are must-sees. The Upper Barrakka Gardens offer a superb viewpoint overlooking Mediterranean cruise ships and the Three Cities on the opposite shore.
Mdina, Malta's former capital. Since the flow of people shifted to Valletta when the capital moved, it is called the Silent City. The walled town has many narrow alleys and cars are now prohibited. It can be explored on foot, and there are cafes and restaurants. Why not stroll together with the town of Rabat outside the fortress walls.
To reach the Blue Grotto, head to the opposite side of the island from Valletta or St. Julian's. If you join the Blue Grotto boat tour, you can approach the caves and rocks in a small boat and see the sparkling blue water surface. In bad weather or strong winds, the tour may not operate.
About 25 minutes by ferry from Malta to Gozo. A popular island that can be visited as a day trip from Malta. The highlights, such as the Victoria Citadel, the Ġgantija megalithic temples, and Dwejra Bay, are far apart, so a Gozo island tour is recommended.

The Azure Window, a sightseeing landmark of Gozo. In photos you can see an arch-shaped rock, but it collapsed in a 2017 storm. At this Dwejra Bay you can view the beautiful sea, and even after the rock's collapse it remains a popular sightseeing spot where boat tours can still be enjoyed.
